The backspacing is 3 1/2 inches

Heartbeat of america is written on the horn button, is is out of a 93 chevy truck with a conversion package. My digital camera is shot and takes crappy pics lol.

First off, your truck looks great! Secondly, I have some questions. You said you lowered your truck with "drop blocks" and longer U-bolts, and shortened springs in the front. I've been trying to decide how to lower my truck. I don't want to spend a fortune doing it, and I don't want to put up with a harsh feeling suspension. I've seen the shorter springs, but this is the first time I've heard about drop blocks. Can you give me a few details? Do you have any suspension pictures? Did you use stock springs on the rear, or were they shortened? You said that you lowered the front 3". I've seen 2" drop (shortened) springs, but not 3". Did you cut them yourself, or where did you buy them? Did you use stock length shocks all around, or did you install shorter shocks? What about the panhard bar in the rear? Did you use the stock one, or one of the adjustable length ones? How does your truck ride and handle now? Does it seem "bouncy"? How much did you spend on the total suspension lowering? Thanks for any info you can provide. Seems there are a number of ways to lower one of our trucks. I like the look, but want to keep an acceptable ride, as I drive my truck a lot. I also don't want to spend a grand just to lower it. Thanks again.

Sorry knoxville 71 I was mistaken it's a 2/3 drop. I built the truck in 96 and I forgot all the details. I believe I cut 1 1/2 coils off the front to get the 2 inch drop. I'm not gonna lie to you, it does'nt ride as good as a stock height truck, but the ride is not all that bad. No shorter shocks or panhard bars are needed, I have lowered many trucks this way and have always had good luck. I had a machine shop make the longer u-bolts in back by taking mine there and telling them to make me some new ones just 4 inches longer. I spent around 80 bucks total on the drop and am very happy

Oh on your front coils, your best bet is to buy an exrtra set at a salvage yard in case your drop is too much so you can cut less next time. Good luck man!
