Van tilt column in 72 Blazer, WIll it Fit?

Has anyone done this? What do you have to change? The end Shaft is 3/4" Splined and overall Length is 39" Main Body Diameter is 2" The Upper Housing Diameter is 4"

I have a van tilt in my blazer---no problem. Just modify like a truck and it bolts right in with the wire harness jumper.

I believe you just have to drill out the pin in the shaft so it can slide to the right length.

Check the FAQ submissions board. There's a thread on modifying a van tilt to work (mostly moving the Neutral Safety switch). If you can't find it look in my Index thread.

I found the info there. If the van column is longer can I move the column futher out of the dash? My seats go way back and it would be more comfortable to have it futher towards me. Will that help in any of the modifacition issues?
