67 small window vs big window

I was just wondering which would be worth more 67 small window or big window?

Big windows were an option in '67, so I guess I'd have to say a big window cab would be worth a hair more, but you'd have to prove it was a true '67 big window cab and not a 68-72 cab with a '67 clip. My dad has one of these trucks

My 67 has a big back window (slider) does that mean its unusual?

The easiest way to determine a 67 big back window is the smaller ignition key hole. 67's have 4 things one year items (at least) that are distinctive. 1 small backwindow, 2 the ignition key, 3 the vent window mechanisms. 4 no side marker signals in the fenders

Worth? depends on who you ask? It seems like they bring a little more on this board as a cab but if you bought a 67truck and it was all optioned out the big back window would be a plus.

A few years ago a fellow rodder(model A's and pre 55) and junker told me he got 2 vermillion red trucks and to come out and look at them. I got there and they were twins but one one was the smaller back window few options and the other big back window with options. In the 1st 15 minutes it was there they cut the top and back cab off the small back window. It was upsetting because it was the better cab. I think they were going to make a small window blazer or something.
The 1st truck I learned to work on when I was 12 was a 67 small back window so I am impartial to them. They are a little more difficult to back out with. I read where the designer made the back window to look like a coupe and argued with GM to keep it the shape it is. When my buddies say I found a 67 the first words are usually ask "Is it a small window?"

YOu can see 2 of my 67's here. I'm working 750 miles away right now so I look forward t being able to work on . the blue one is destined to be put on a 69 chevy 4x4 frame.

Adding to the list of differences, the hole for dash lighter is smaller, the holes for the visor hooks are bigger.

Not trying to start anything here but it would seem to me that a small window would be worth more due to that was the last year of the small window, I would also venture that the larger rear window was more in line with late production 67/early production of the 68. I've been known to be wrong, at least once anyways.

I think I read in a Classic Trucks write-up on this--- 10% (maybe 20%?) were optioned with the big window. It would seem to me that that would add some value even though the small window was only available in 67. Imagine if 10% of Corvettes were made without the split window in '63..... What would they be worth now?

The small window is for GANGSTA's and of coarse it is worth more it is
more rare....Make sure you get it bullet proof...

I'm reading along and a true big window 67 is rarer than a small window 67 as all 67's came small unless option with the CST. I have a true big window 67 as well as a small, but the big CST is more rare. Do not get hung up on that all 68-72's had big windows, because the true 67 with the 4 main details mentioned above is way different and fewer were produced. But and there is always a but, these are trucks and rare does not necessarily mean value. If you have a well optioned short bed with like a BBC, AC, tilt, posi, etc, etc then you have some value, but not muscle car value. It's a truck, put thousands into and get 1/2 that out of it. Find a clapped out Mustang, Camaro, any Mopar from late 60's to early 70's and you get what you put into it out at sale, and more often than not more, but with a truck, well.... I like the small because when I was in HS (late 80's) my brother gave me a small window 67 short fleet. Like any stupid kid I sold it, and about 6 months ago my brother died. I went out and found a replacement for that truck to honor him, it is not the same, but it helps. So to sum it all up, if you like small or big, that's up to you, do not let the norm dictate what yuo want, build it cause you like it.

I'm a newb so I don't know which is worth more. But just being more rare does not equate to better market value. It has more to do with being desireable.

*IF* one even is worth more than another, we're talkin a couple hundred bucks in value if it's a nice truck, NOT thousands. If you have a fully loaded CST you may have something, but that has more to do with being a fully loaded CST than it does being a big window '67.

Okay the big window was rare for 67 but in 68 and from there on it was standard. That's like saying in 63 they made only 10% spilt windows corvettes in but in 64 they became standard equipment. However they did not happen and the spilt window was dropped. It's not like there was a 67' small back window and big back window for only 10% then in 68' a medium back window was brought in
As someone said we are talking trucks not muscle cars too.
I think the statement that best fits this is "The Big back window is rare for 67 but in the case of all years 67-72 the small window is rare back window."
