Hi guys,

I was checking out the Intro Wheels website and they didn't havee any info regarding step and rolled lip rims. Positives? Negatives? One preferred over the other?

Thanks in Advance,
Jay

I believe it is purely a cosmetic choice.

The rolled lip has the valve stem on the inside of the wheel. It makes for a much cleaner look.

If you were refering to the smooth hoop style then the other added bonus is that the actual wheel center is larger. So if you run the smooth lip then the rims design will be larger, giving you even more eye candy to look at.
Good luck with the project

Re: step lip vs rolled lip rims

The only drawback to the rolled lip that I can find, is that they hold water on the inside of the rim. Due to the stepped part being on the inside, it creates a place for water to collect. At least it does that on my wheels (Budnik Famosa Fat Lips).

That is correct. The center is one inch bigger, effectivly giving you appearence of a 21" rather than a 20".

BTW- If you special order the stepped lip you can get them with the valve stems on the inside as well....
