I would agree with that depending on what it went for. With a show quality paint job costing 10k+ these days, getting a truck with nice paint is a huge cost saving start on a project. While it would take a some money to get this truck out of the 80's, and in to the 2k it would be a a very nice start at the right price...

Actually both of your posts were right on target . The engine compartment did fall short and I was going to ask him about that but realized the question was also a criticism and not wanting to taint the conservation , I just let that pass . You are also correct it needs to be moved up to a more normal configuration and that would be easy . It was an interesting truck that had many modifications I don't think have been mentioned , like it was shortened 4 inches to be a extra - short bed and the seat was sculptured to be form fitting and several other mods . It was a better truck than the pictures showed .

I personally think think B-J is screwing up the hobby. The prices they get are ridiculous and now guys selling a "clean" vehicle think it is "mint" and jack the prices up.

Re: Barrett Jackson...Humm.

The prices on these trucks are going up anyways, esspecially the shortbeds (lots of longbeds still hanging around)

A shortbox step side with a clean body, that runs and drives will easily pull in 5 grand around here.

Re: Barrett Jackson...Humm.

Oh, and the duct tape holding the door closed sure looks like attention to detail to me!

The interior looks to be done somewhat right, and would have been cool in 1990, when this truck was built. The underhood looks silly and does not match in any way, and the gold sucks!

If the stock chrome grille and bumpers were put back on, lose the wheelie bars, jamb it to match, and put some modern wheels and tires that fit it would be a nice $5000 to $6000 truck.

As of now, its a $12000 POS

It's not duct tape . Because he had door poppers , sometimes when he would step out for a second he would stick that blue and white rag in there so the door would not shut on him .
