Commonality between 72 and 73 trucks
Are there a lot of parts that are interchangable between generations? Does the gas, brake, clutch mech interchange?

Re: Commonality between 72 and 73 trucks
Not a whole lot of interchangeability or commonality between them.Basically,Anything that is connected to (on,from) the body will be different.I have used 73-up auto trans linkage on a`71.

Re: Commonality between 72 and 73 trucks
I think you can swap an entire front suspension (cross-member and all) and from 73 to a certain year (79 or 80??) you can swap power steering boxes with either a shim or use your current 67-72 pitman arm (that's if you don't swap the entire suspension). Being that the cabs are different I doubt the pedals would be a direct swap, but who knows, maybe the do? You can swap engines and trannys with a mod or two as well You can also use the seatbelts and seats, but they are not a "direct swap."

The gas petal assembly will swap over. I have an 86 petal in my 72...
