Interior progress on wife's truck

My wife and I spent Saturday working on her interior, what an improvement.

Here's the truck for those who forgot or haven't seen it-

""

The interior was originally saddle, and pretty torn up. Here's what we did-dash pad and painted top of dash, painted and installed a '65 Chevelle wheel, painted the door panels, installed '55-57 window cranks and door handles, dyed the arm rests and sunvisors, installed new seatbelts, and made lower door panels and kick panels and upholstered them.

" "
""

We thought the Chevelle wheel with the chrome ring fit the vintage look we were going for. We still have more work to do, a horn cap, carpet, more paint touch up, a new instrument panel bezel and some other detailing. What do you think?

Re: Interior progress on wife's truck

Looking real good. I might have a 65 impala horn cap for that wheel. The wheel and ring looked the same, but the cap has the impala logo.If you want it and I can find it, it's yours for the cost of the ride. If I find it I'll pm you.

Re: Interior progress on wife's truck

Thanks for the compliments guys, I'll try to answer some questions-
special-don't worry the seat cover is here to stay
scott-I made them out of some thin particle board (1/8'' I believe) from Home Depot, cost me like four bucks, cut them with a jig saw
gferris-we got them at a swap meet, they were two bucks a piece
zumo-I smiled when I noticed your wheel on your thread last week

Al, let me know if you find it.

Ha, ha guys. I've been working in Laredo. One of the first things I did was go scouting for mexican blankets for seat covers!! got my eye on an old 68plain jane step side too.
Plan on building a rat rod soon and they will feel nice to being burnt by the vinyl this summer.
