New project: '83 SWB
Found a deal on an 83 I couldn't let go...$200. It is all there less an engine and tranny, but I have a few extras around. We'll see what develops.

The guy I got it from decided to remove his Grant wheel with a hammer rather than a puller, so I may be looking for a new column. I do need a steering wheel if anybody knows anybody...it doesn't have to be correct. Last edited by 95KYsahara; 02-27-2006 at 07:19 PM. |

Re: New project: '83 SWB
That was the deal of the century. Black interior? Hell the seat belts are worth more than you paid for the whole truck.
Good on ya! I can't wait to see what you do!

Great deal! Looks like a little cleaning and polishing will go a long way.

Re: New project: '83 SWB
SWB for $200 that is a deal. I am going to pick up an 81' LWB that is all orginal down to the push button Delco radio this Saturday for $900. The only thing wrong with it are the brakes. I will post up some pics once I get it home.

Re: New project: '83 SWB
Looks nice, for $200 that's a heck of a deal. The body looks to be in decent shape. You always got to love the screw ups people do to things. Should have asked him if the 5 piece hammer set went with the truck.

I'm close to Elizabethtown...you know, the one that has the retarded movie. Plans.... hmmmm.... I've been so busy working on my 97 project truck ($800 bucks for that one) that I really haven't thought of any. Probably just stick a 350/350 in it for now and drive it. It'll get wheels as one of the first things. Maybe do some bodywork and paint in my spare time. |
