Re: Is it me or is this price high?

well i think that the time may have come that these trucks are now right there in popularity with the musclecar craze... knew it would prolly happen at some point... and with the recent discussions about tow hooks, speedwarning clusters, cruise, etc... that point may be here... sucks, cuz the reason i got into trucks was the jyard availability and SOOOO many of them, but seems like there are a few too many people out there (Mr. 500 plus $$ tow hook guy) on ebay that are looking to scoop on as many of these parts as possible, and in turn keep them till the market demands raise the value even higher.. oh well, kinda depressing, but ill quit now, luch break is over soon....

Re: Is it me or is this price high?

The seller didn't make the price so high, the bidders did. 14 people bid to that price so they are the ones paying to much for it.

Re: Is it me or is this price high?

I was talking to a guy on Saturday. he has offered me his 1990 column for $75.00. I want to put it in my 80. It has tilt ,pulse wipers and cruise, great shape.

I will sell my 1980 tilt column when i get this one in.

Do the 73-91 fit the 69-72?

He also has black Kayline Safari style softtop for sale if anyone is interested?

Doug

Re: Is it me or is this price high?

WOW, I am glad I own five of these era trucks, cause I sure would hate to be on the outside looking in!! I also managed to rat hole a 70rs/ss Camaro back in the day and that has paid dividends!! Buy em up and sit on them/drive em and enjoy the fact that our "junk" (my wife's words) is gaining value!! It is GOOD, not bad!

Oh and D@mn I wish I had a couple of tilts and some 72 only tow hooks!!

Re: Is it me or is this price high?

I just sold a non-tilt automatic column on ebay last week. It sold for $177, which seems extremely high for a generic column. I sold a couple non-tilt columns on ebay about a year ago, and only got $75 for them. The person that is the top bidder right now on that tilt column also bid (and lost) on my column.

Re: Is it me or is this price high?

Wow, lucky seller if he gets paid. That's why it pays to start the bid low with a low or no reserve to start a bidding frenzy.

It doesn't make sense bidding this high when there is no detailled pics of the entire column, no mention of the harness or neutral safety working or condition of the gasket and ring, specially when there are other truck tilts for auction. I can't even read the glovebox sticker.

Makes me want to put both of my truck tilts on ebay.

Just watch, now there will be a flood of tilts on ebay. If I had one that I wanted to sell, you can bet it would be there tomorrow!

Re: Is it me or is this price high?

The first truck tilt I ever saw,I paid $600 for.Actually, that was how much the whole truck cost. After swapping swapping my non-tilt back in,I sold the truck for $800.So I made $200 off the first tilt and still had it
