I couldn't help myself!! It followed me home!!!

I just went out for a Sunday drive in my new GMC Duramax, when I happened to be passing through Jose's neck of the woods in Salem, OR. (pulling a car trailer no less!! hehehe) I met him, oh! I mean stopped to visit him, and he just happened to know about this 1970 2WD Blazer that a buddy of his had for sale!! (I didn't plan this!! honestly!! Snicker, Snicker) Well it somhow landed on my trailer and followed me home!! Nice project though...lol WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com

Nothing wrong with towing around an empty trailer. I've done that myself. Hook up and go for a ride in the country.

I usually find if you come prepared you go home with an empty trailer. It's the time you are 6 hours away without a trailer that you find the best deals.

The blazer looks like it is pretty nice. It could follow me home anytime.

Maybe I need to get a trailer so a 2wd Blazer can find it's way onto it!

Great score. Do you mind me asking what you paid for it? If not, no worries.

Re: I couldn't help myself!! It followed me home!!!

Thanks everyone for the compliments... My wife thanks you Bishop Trucks...
Wow, I didn't realize how rare it is. Mine is a CS model. It originaly was a Blazer Camper... I was going to weld up the side markers, and install a 67 nose on it, but maybe not now. It only has like 3 options...lol I was going to throw the works at it along with a BB. Someone already cut the dash and the camper has long ago came up missing. WES

Wes, I know what you mean about the trailer, I finally had to get rid of mine cause I was always picking up these great trucks, problem is I live in the city, and rent. I use to have my own place in the country with nearly 20 trucks in Salina Kansas. I KNOW WHERE YOU CAN FIND A NICE 402 BIG BLOCK for that truck, great deal.

Re: I couldn't help myself!! It followed me home!!!

This one was somehow set up different than the ones in the pictures. It didn't even have side windows. The vent window post is completly cut off. Not hardly enough to even weld a new one to. I was told that it had plastic windows that snapped to the top of the doors and tailgate. I would like to return it back to it's original glory, but to replace the camper would be impossible. Not to mention the radio holes are cut out for some aftermarket gauges.
72armyswbtruck, It would have to be a pretty good deal for me to do some trading for another big block... I have 4 here right now. 1, 396 and 3, 402s. I still would give it an open ear though...
As for the cost, lets just say that I paid more than I normaly would have, but I still got a good deal on it. After all I did drive to Oregon to pick it up too. WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com
