Found this in a junkyard the other day

I don't know if this works and don't really have a way to test it at the moment, but I thought it was pretty cool and if I can get my radio fixed in my Camaro someday, I'll hook it up to that.

Cool, and old Radio Shack FM converter. I had one a long time ago, but the reception sucked. Of course that may have been because I was using a GM windshield antenna

Gman69 has one in his truck. Works fine and sorta fits the era. He wanted his stock raido and the advantage of FM...it worked out great, long as your antennat is good. Like N2TRUX said, in windshield antennas of those days were not too hot.

Cool find, It reminds me of the radio I found in my 67. The truck came with the plate to cover the radio hole and someone had installed a Motorola AM underdash radio in it. The radio has a built in speaker on the bottom. I'll take a picture tonight and post it if anyone would like to see it.

Re: Found this in a junkyard the other day

Looks just like the one we had to buy at a radio shack and install in the drivein parking lot to watch the movie back my teenage years, cause the drive in had converted to FM recievers instead of the window speakers, and we didn't know it till we got there....lol.

They do work fine with a good antenea
