Fuel gauge no worky

I have had a problem with my fuel gauge for sometime now. I decided to try to fix it. The gauge never moves at all. The wire to the tank is good. Could it be the resistor on the gauge? if so where can I get the resistor. All help will be appreciated. Just tired of never knowing how much gas is left in the tank.

Go to www.fix-a-gauge.com

Get the fuel replacement resistor.

Re: Fuel gauge no worky

I would ground out the wire from the sending unit to the gauge(brown iirc) and see if the gauge reads way past full or moves at all(that checks, and tests wiring and gauge), if so sending unit is most likely bad. if nothing then try the resistor Bryan mentioned above. Longhorn should chime in soon he just went through thiss not long ago. Randy

Re: Fuel gauge no worky

Listen to whatever Byrd tells you. He helped me fix mine after 2 months of screwing with it.
