Electric Pusher Fan installed behind radiator
So I walk in front of my truck after going for a little ride and notice that warm air is blowing out from the grill area.
I pop open the hood and notice that whoever had installed the fan (some PO) used a pusher type fan and installed it behind the radiator. I'm planning on moving it to the front. Am I missing something? Anyone know a legitimate reason why an electric pusher fan would be installed behind the radiator and blow outward?

Re: Electric Pusher Fan installed behind radiator
you might want to check the wiring it could be a puller fan wired backwards

Re: Electric Pusher Fan installed behind radiator
Puller fans are more efficient from what I have read. I was going to use both a pusher and puller, but most articles I have read said that using both fans is more restricting to airflow than the benefit you would get by using both.. I have a 350 with a/c in south texas and with a 4 core radiator, no problems so far...

Re: Electric Pusher Fan installed behind radiator
It's a one-way fan, not reversible. It's got a symbol with an arrow in the push direction and a crossed out arrow in the pull direction.
I don't know exactly what the differences are but I've read that a pusher-only fan will not pull efficiently if you reverse it.
