Re: changing beds

Should be a very simple swap. You may need to get a new rear bumper.

Re: changing beds

direct swap. Remove and install. And as stated, you'll need a bumper.
I say it's too much work, keep the short step, they look better anyways.

Re: changing beds

I originally wanted a fleetside. And thought that ultimately I would swap to a fleetside fo that nice clean look. But the stepper is growing on me more and more each day. And fleets are starting to look a litte plain. It's Weird.

For all the hassle, I hope that girl helps you break in that bed when you're done.

Actually, she should help you say good bye to the stepper too. The new owner will wonder what that odd smirk is about.

Re: changing beds

This vendor, that periodically has a banner on this site, has some of the pieces.

Re: changing beds

Are you sure she is not talking about changing your bed size (is she saying step to fleet meaning twin to king size). Somebody had to say it, I know, I know, how stupid.

Yes, it is a fairly easy swap and a few extra hands will make it go a lot easier.

Re: changing beds

Welcome to the board from Lexington. Where are you at in KY? Let's see some pics of your truck!!

Also, take a moment to read the rules of the board. The Mods will get unhappy about the request to buy/sell/trade in your first post. You gotta be a subscriber to post for sale/wanted to buy, and all such posts have to be made in the classified sections of the board.

Re: changing beds

I don't know about upholstery, but there is a parts vendor here in Lexington called O.B. Smith's that has all the goodmark sheetmetal you could ever want, or at least he can get it. Next time you're in town, he's on New Circle Rd between Georgetown Rd and Newtown Pike. He's right in there with Camaro Central and No Coast Choppers
