Question Chassis Tech Drop Leaf Springs

Anyone with feedback regarding Chassis Tech drop leaf springs? For about $175/pair plus shipping, they look like a good buy for a 4" drop leaf spring.

chassis tech products are very poor quality. i know seeral people who have bought their products and they were defective and caused problems. on top of that their customer service is extremly poor. i would stay away from any of their products and anything distributed by AIM.

I am here to dispute that. I agree that they don't have the greatest customer service, but that is partly due to the sheer volume of orders they take on a day to day basis.
I am a authorized dealer, and have used their products for years with no problems at all. Since starting my business, I have sold many parts to various board members with no problems at all.

okay, i repect that you deal in their stuff but many of my friends have used their components with very bad results, here are just a small number of the dipleased customers:

among these things i know of problems with some of their spindles which change the track width of the vehicle, making there tires stick out further on one side than the other. and also problems with some of there control arms making it very difficult to get the alignment right. there is just too much i've heard bad about them for me to justify buying them, when i could pay a little more a get a better product.

I am curious though how their parts are so much cheaper than everyone elses, i assumed they might be made oversees or somthing? do you know?

really i don't mean to talk down the product you are selling, but its only fair to show both sides to the story.

I know their are bad vibes about them, but this is true of every company ever started since the begining of time.
When you start a business you have to relize you won't satisfy everyone, all you can do is try.
That is what I intend on doing, at my level of a starting business, if you have just 1% of your customers that is un happy, my numbers would be very small, on the other hand you take a corp. like Chassis tech who fills over 200,000 orders a year, and your #'s grow tremendesly that is over 2,000 people who did not have a good experience.
Every business owner shoots for 100% customer satisfaction, but in the real world we know this is not possible, but still I try.
The reason they are so much cheaper is there is no middle man, it is all produced in house.
I have toured the facility, and it was very impressive.
Again I will back these parts up, by my own example. I use them on all my custom creations.

thats cool. but there are just so many other company's out there with excelent reputations. i personally recomend earlyclassics for 72 and older and western chassis for 73 and newer. but i'm sure your business will be a success if you back the parts you sell. and by the way your trucks are sweet!

Question

I have been advised that air bags like Firestone Rite-Rides won't work in conjunction with a 4" drop using drop leafs. Anybody care to provide additional feedback on this?

Yep, I'm still here! I also agree with low 84 100%! Both DJM Suspension and Western Chassis produce their components "In-House" and pass the savings on to the customer. Check-out DJM's website and take the factory tour. They are truly a company of their word, with many happy customers to back that.
