like the new shifter???



yeah i got a little bored in my welding class, so i made a shifter for my truck. its a polished 1 1/2 feet long piece of 1" tubing that i made bolt right up to the transmission. and i put a motorcycle grip on top, i think it looks good. im probably gonna put a motorcycle clutch handle on there too for the line-lock, hehe. later...

my seats are out of a 2003 blazer.

the shifting position is nice. i actually like it better then the hurst i had in there. wow, you found a 70 chevy in utica?? ive been looking for a long time around here, never found one. i got mine from nyc but originally from sc, which really made no difference. thanks...

Yes, it's a 54,000 original mile truck that was in AZ before Utica.

Have you driven your truck with those seats yet?
I have the same ones (03 Tahoe) and for me the position was 'tight', curious about your results.
I saw a thread about moving the steering column towards the dash, that must help alot.

i only drove my truck around the parking lot. im 6'1" and im comfortable in it. the steering column needs to go forward more but thats another issue. i wanna say the tahoe seats are thicker but i can be wrong. later...

That's something worth checking into...
Could you measure the 'depth' for me and I'll compare.

What I bought was both buckets/console and the 2nd row seat, they were intended for my burb but plans have changed.

I here that the 2nd row seats fit pretty good in a pick up but only a 2wd having the low hump. (yeah, I tried in a 4x4 )
