permatex 82019 all purpose spray adhesive is really..

crappy ! at least for headliner material adhering anyways !

I know. Most spray adhesives don't work to glue the fabric back on. I spent a weekend for not on my burb. Later, I got some spray s'posed to work for that specificaly but haven't tried it yet.

what you get that youre gonna try ? lemme know how it works cuz i have to still recover mine in the caprice yet.. board is clean and ready but adhesive i dunno what to get yet, for sure,..,

The best adhesive I have used is the 3M brand as far as over the counter. Yes it is expensive but it works! I made some flamed door pannels for my truck; used 3M on one and ran out, used some elcheapo on the other and it started comming off in a weeks time.

I recovered the headliner in my 87 earlier this year and used 3M spray adhesive and it is still holding up there. 3M is the way to go. $12 a can though

Agree with Fast68Chevy.

Permatex was a big flop for me. Did headliner on daughters 98,twice mind you,and results were....well.....there were no results! Going to take all the 3m advice and try again soon.

3M Super 77 adhesive is what I've used. Works great but does carry that spendy price. You won't be disappointed.
