Coolant leaking in cab....

Ok I noticed some coolant leaking from the heater core in my cab, luckily the carpet was out for dynamat so it was easy to spot, I take it my heater core is going right?

If it does I guess I'll have to explore the vintage air route.....it never ends!

yeah that would be your heater core..its easy and cheap to replace so might as well do it now before it makes too much of a mess

that is funny to hear not because your misfortune, but because the same thing happened to me and I went the same route. The best thing about a Vintage Air set up is that the box in the cab is a whole lot less visable. Good luck.

if you have messed with the lines in the firewall, one may be leaking inbetween the firewall and the heater core.

Re: Coolant leaking in cab....

try going to a small drug store and buying liquid glass... got some for a riviera to repair the blown head gasket, had a cracked heater core and i flushed radiator and put liquid glass in and it sealed it off and now its not cracked (for now, suppose to hold a long time) you have to go to the little independant drug stores to get it though, sometimes they have to order it, you can get some of that crap at walmart in the auto section but its not the real deal... just a suggestion
