1968 parts truck

Picked this up today off of ebay. Not too bad...has some good pieces on it. Supposed to be a 307, 3 speed. Heavy 1/2??? One family owned since new.
It does have some type of smog pump system mounted on the top front of the engine that I have never seen. I will post a picture later of what is looks like. Perhaps one of you have seen it before.

I forgot to mention... I will probably part it out. If you are interested in parts let me know. I am in the Atlanta area.

Here are afew pics of that smog stuff....I guess its factory?

Re: 1968 parts truck

heavy half was an option package on 73 & up trucks, not in our series trucks.
The seller probably sees either over load springs, or HD springs on the option sheet.

Re: 1968 parts truck

Looks pretty solid for a parts truck. I have a smog pump on my 68.

Re: 1968 parts truck

heavy half was an option package, and it got stickers and badges and stuff.... spring options are just spring options.
There is no listing for a heavy half as an RPO anywhere in the 67 - 72 options/option packages

Re: 1968 parts truck

My '68 has coil springs in the front and rear with overloads...and it's a 3/4 ton.

Re: 1968 parts truck

my 72 has leaf, that would do 3/4 ton duty, yet i don't think it was named "heavy half" till 73, but its the same options without stickers
