bucket seat????????

I ran across a 73 blazer the other day that still had the seats and belts.

The placstic seat back were faded however uncracked so I grabed them. They look just like the busted up ones on my 72 blazer buckets. In fact the seats look exactly the same as my 72 blazer buckets. What really threw me for a loop was that the seat belts were 68-72 style but had a 73 date on them. My question is were 73 and up seat backs the same as 69-72. And were 69-72 seat belts used in 73 up blazers.

Thanks in advance.

Re: bucket seat????????

The plastic backs are the same....just different colors in some cases.
Seat backs are a little more squarish on the top corners..can be modified for the 69-72 seat covers easy enough by an upholsterer...what ever...the people that recover the seats.
The brackets that mount the seat are different and sit 1.5 inches higher also.

Re: bucket seat????????

Will 69-72 style brackets bolt to 73 & up seats?

Re: bucket seat????????

I posted some pic's of Blazer belts over on the Blazer board,
they're basically the same as truck belts, you can compare.

Re: bucket seat????????

The seat belts luv2xclr8 posted are the same belts I am talking about. The whole set is there but very rusty.

The blazer they are in is a 73 that is why I ask. The date on the belt is also 73.

Are 73 and up blazer belts different then 69-72.
