Not sure on the 72 truck(think thats what your working on) but the instrument cluster for 73-87 is the same for 2wd or 4wd. You just have to add the bulb to the 2wd to make it work. Of course, you need the switch and wire too.

Sure, send it on over. I'll trade ya 205 rebuild labor for a NV4500 Chevy inputand/or output shaft! (For my "new" Dodge NV that was supposed to be a Chevy NV.... )
