Re: How far did you go?

From Lafayette GA to Richland GA for the K10 was about 225 miles. The C10 came from just north of Asheville NC which is right over 250 miles from Lafayette GA. Both made it home under their own power without major incident.

Well, I maybe didn't drive all the way .
I was actually driving for a longer distance when I looked at a 60 50th in Denmark that I didn't buy, 435 miles one way, OK 435 miles driving + 30 minutes on a boat to get there.

Re: How far did you go?

the guy I bought my 69 from lives about 5 miles or so away from my house. To go there, get it, chain it, and tow it to my house took like 4 hours

involved the chain coming off and putting a hole in the radiator one tire completely shredding, the very rednecked and slightly stupidly ingenious use of various jacks and various wheels, and some patience, a little brain, some braun (my friend picked up one corner of the truck off the ground so we could get a jack under there), but unfortunatly, we forgot to include any beer. Man, what an adventure that was. When I got it home, I couldn't help but still feel nothin but love for it though. It took a while for me to feel the pain in my that thing's been givin me.

Re: How far did you go?

I had my Brother Drive me Two and a half hours to pick up my truck....drove it back the two and half hours. I think it was about 97 miles there and would have been 194 miles round trip...

Re: How far did you go?

Lots of trips over 200 miles around the north east but the farthest I've ever traveled was from Vermont to Texas and back.

Another event was, flew to AZ and drove home a blazer.

Long list of road trips and each one was it's own adventure.

Re: How far did you go?

Well my wifes '68 came from only 15 miles away. The parts truck '67 came from about 40 miles away. My Trans Am came from roughly 1800 miles away! My wife and I and our son took a Greyhound bus (cheapest way) 43 hours to San Diego and drove the car back home!! Does that count? Do I win anything?
