71 shorty
A couple of months ago I had posted that I had just purchased a 71 shorty 4x4. I had also said I needed to replace the front end and rear end axles. Well here are a couple of pics the the work I have done to it. If you can't tell I have put a 4inch lift. New rims and tires. And that front and rear end on it. I need some body and paint work. But looking around it can get quite costly. I would like for someone to at least do the rocker panels. But a lot of body shops that I have been to don't like doing small stuff like that. Tell me what you guys think of it so far.

Re: 71 shorty
If this was your guys truck. What would be the next thing you would do to it? Also consider that money is an issue.

Re: 71 shorty
I envy folks that can crawl under their trucks without having to use blocks and jackstands.

Re: 71 shorty
Looks good........just keep chipping away at it. I always put mechanical ahead of cosmetics. As long as it runs good, I'm happy.

Re: 71 shorty
Me too, I always pick mechanical above cosmetics, and in between mechanical I buy the nice stuff like interior and exterior trim pieces that I will need once it gets painted, JM2C

Re: 71 shorty
The lift is a 4" rough country with the rear springs. I was going to go with a super lift but chose to save about 500 dollars. It drives a lot softer than the stock springs.
