2WD 14ff Rear....

Do any of you know if a 79 c20 14ff rear from a 2wd pickup will be the same width and if the spring perches will be in the same spot as a 4wd truck? so basically what im trying to ask is if the rear will just swap into an 86 K20. Yes, No, Maybe? And what about the rear leaf springs... are they the same? Thanks alot guys

Should be a bolt up!

Measure the width of the perches before you buy it though, just to make sure.

Look closely at the shock mounts. I believe that there is a difference between the 2wd and 4wd.

Re: 2WD 14ff Rear....

My 2wd and 4x4 frames had the same shocks, less length.

The 4x4 springs may be longer than the 2wd, but if you unbolt the u-bolts instead of the springs, your new diff should bolt directly to the new 4x4 springs.

depends if you have the 52" or 56" springs. For a 4x4 the 56"s would be best and it is a fairly easy swap to go from 52" to 56"s...
