hey i have a 1969 chevy c10 and it has coil springs and shocks but i want to drop it as low as i can with coils and shocks with out a c noch in the frame i would love to take it to 3/6 thank you for your help

Just do a 4/6 drop or whatever.

You can do a 6 inch drop rear coil without the need to c-notch. I do all my trucks that way. There is a link to the latest one in my signature.

I used cpp 3/5 kit and I only have about 3/4"-1" before I hit the frame. I dont know if cpp's springs are lower than that say they are or if it is because it is on a blazer. I wouldnt want to go any lower without a c notch if this really is they way a 3/5 is suppose to be.

i dont want to steal your thread but with that 4/6 drop, is that spindles also and if it is do you have to have disk brakes to run those spindles. Thanks

yeah, a 4/6 is usually spindles and springs in the front, and every kit I've seen has been for disc only.

You can lower each end with springs, but the geometry will be wrong. Spindles will help you, and ECE will let you go 2.5-inches lower in front. They have a 1-inch lowering spring, for the front, too.

In the back, they have coils that will let you drop it from 2 to 6 inches. Once you get to a 4-inch drop, you should seriously consider the adjustable track bar (Panhard rod) AND the shock relocation mount kit. This will let the shocks work at the more extreme drop AND relocate the axle to center it under the chassis.

If you elect to go 5 or 6 inches, you should be aware that the center crossmember, home of the the center carrier bearing on the drive shaft, may cause a conflict with the driveshaft.

I have the ECE 2.5/4 drop on my '69 and I love it. Discs are great, but I stayed with the 6-hole pattern. There are others (McGaughey) and some vendors on the board, who also sell kits (GMC Paul).

But, if you are going to do it right, you're looking at a total expenditure of ~$2K. If it's worth doing, do it right. You'll save money, in the long run.

do you have any problems with the driveline rubbin against teh crossmember on a 4/6 drop.
