factory ride height?
What is it on a 72 2wd stepside. I have had the truck for 15 yrs and the owner before me cut the rears and heated the front. Thinking about going with a real lowering spring, maybe help the ride?? Thanks for the help and any suggestions.

Re: factory ride height?
Mine have been heated in front and cut in the back. Rides like a covered wagon on the Rubicon Trail. Go with a 3" spindle for the front and then get shorter springs if you want it lower. Use lowering springs in the back or blocks on top of the trailing arm. If you have leaf springs then go with a newrear shackle that will lower the rear. Ride quality will improve GREATLY.

Re: factory ride height?
sounds like my truck to the tee. So forget about the lowering springs and go with the spindle? I would like to end up at the same stance I am now, that is why I am looking the the factory height in front and rear.
