Need some input

I need some info/input on this. I didn't get the 69 Chevy parts truck I planned on getting, so I have these options:

1. Fix the Rockwell (needs a new washer machined, other than that its pretty tight)
2. Keep looking around for a parts truck with a NP205 t-case in it.
3. Fix the Rockwell, then keep looking for another parts truck, just to have around.

To get a new washer made might cost 10-20 bucks, when a parts truck could be from 0-500 bucks (my price range). I'm leaning towards fixing the Rockwell, but I have one of those bad gut-feelings about putting it back in. Thanks for the help.

If you are sure that's all the rockwell needs go with number 3.

I'd stick with the Rockwell. Have you looked here? www.drivetrain.com They have parts for the Rockwell.

Re: Need some input

You`re truck`s a nice original and not a real common model.Leave it original, the whole truck.Build another one just the way you want it.The best of both worlds.

Re: Need some input

Yup, we're going to fix the Rockwell. If it works, great, if it doesn't, then oh well. Don't know whats going to happen until you try.
