Pizziz me off !!!
I had a guy come up to my swap meet spot and root through all the stuff I had found on old AC delco coil that I knew was good he asked how much I said 2 bucks the guy looks me in the eye and says i can only afford a dollar for a part that I don't know if it is any account. The same guy the next day walks up to the new guy (sunday seller) next to me and apparently knew him starts bragging about how he is making 5K a month on ebay
  and how these guys that don't have actual stands are idiots that he makes most of his money off of as they are too stupid to know what they have. I am not an unfriendly person but this guy is just begging for an ass whooopin and I make the comment not all of us are trying to make a living off of this stuff that some of us actually come to swap meets to do just that swap parts and share info that helps one another who actually work on cars instead of being a parasite that sucks all the fun out of the hobby due to personal greed and I kinda chuckled to myself as he turned white and made a beeline to somewhere that I wasn't even better the new guy beside me had nothing to say all day  . so me my buddy and my sawhorse swap meet stand had an enjoyable time the rest of the weekend Mike sorry just had to vent

Good for you. There is always one or 2 of them around. A buddy had a booth and a Holley carb marked at $25. This guy started hounding me(while my buddy went to the can or coffee or something) that to sell it for $5.00. Went away for awhile and then came back and started in again for $5.00. I finally took the tag off and put a $50.00 price on it. He then started to tell me I couldn't do that. I then told him wasn't welcome anymore. Finally left only to reappear the next day.

i try to bargain with stuff and trade but offerin $5 for a carb when its marked $25 is an insult to the seller in my book, unless in just plain junk. chris.

its a work in progess. 71 c-10 lwb, in the middle of frame off restoration. 69 c-10 swb, drag truck, 406 sbc, balanced, comp 292 cam, ported, polished, gasket matched, and bowl blended pro comp 210cc heads, 2.02/1.60 ferrea valves,1.6 roller rockers, re curved hei with msd 6al box, 2-step rev limter, accel 300+ wires, ported victor jr intake, holley 750 double pumper carb, dynomax 1 5/8 headers, 4 spd munci m-20 with super case and iron midplate, mr. gasket vertigate shifter, 5.38 pro gears with full spool, 33 spline moser axles and c-clip elimators, line-loc, 5 gal fuel cell, holley blue pump.   7.807 @ 88.37mph 1.60 60FT 80 g-20 van, tow rig, cammed 305, th350, 10 bolt 88 jeep wrangler, dd, 258, ax-15 swap, 4.5" lift, 33x12.50's, lockers, 3.55's |

Having to deal with that kind of people is why I've never tried doing a swap meet thing. Sounds like he got the message about it. Congratulations on your recent bed purchase. The way it went down I saved $50 and don't have to handle it. That's the way I like things to happen, everybody happy and save a buck or two.

 best of luck on your project MikeChris I am begging off on Saturday hoping I can sneek down so far nobody seems interested in cutting loose a saturday so i will probably be stuck at work Mike
