Anybody running a 3" dropped spring on front?

I'm thinking of going with a 3/5" on my 70 s/b and was wondering if going with just a 3" spring on front causes any alignment issues, tire leaning, or bottoming out. I know dropped spindle/dropped spring would be a better combination but I'm looking for a cheaper way besides cutting the factory front coils.(It already has disc on front) How about a 5" on the rear? Would I need to do a c-notch? Pinion angle problems? This truck will not be hauling much. Its just a weekend cruiser. I did a search and could'nt find any answers.
Thanks,
Bryan

Re: Anybody running a 3" dropped spring on front?

I did a 3/5 drop with mine using shorter coils. No I didn't cut them I bought the actual ones. I drove around for like maybe a year without getting an alignment done but noticed the inside of the tire was wearing alot. I went and got it aligned and the guy said he had to put as many spacers as would fit in there to get it to go but its good. I suggest if you do this that you also buy some of the shorty shocks and get an adjustable tracking arm for out back.

I just put 3" coils on mine, no alignment issues, but definatly get new shorter shocks and new adj. rear track bar.. i think the ride is just fine w/the coils IMO

I used to use 3 inch drop front coils, they wrok fine. Unless something is bent or excessively worn on your truck, it will align just fine.

Personally, I just cut the factory coils nowdays. Obviously, it saves about 80 bucks, and no difference in ride or handling at all compared to 3 inch drop store bought coils.
