constant power fuse
is there one on the fuse block? i need power with key on acc, off, and run for my radio to keep the memory (clock and pre-sets).
or should i run a wire to the battery with a 20 amp inline fuse? |

I don't think these trucks had a takeoff in the fuse box for constant power. The only power out with the key in the acc/off/run positions is lights, cig lighter & 4way flasher? Why not tee in to the cig lighter power?

I pretty sure the cigar lighter tap on the fuse block is hot all times. the other point would be at the top of the block just below the fuel gauge tap, it should have a pigtail connected to it.

hmm, you guys were right, the cigarette lighter and the plug under the fuel gauge have constant power. thanks i got it all figured out now.

Matt - Does that stay hot during crank? It MAY shut off during the starter cranking mode. Just check before you go too far.
