Post What kind of alternator for int. reg. conversion?

Any suggestions for what type of alternator I should look for for an internally regulated alternator? My new suburban isn't recharging the battery, its time for a change.

Thanks

Cool

al, i just went through this with my truck . i bought an alternator for a 76 olds. it depends on how much you are using inside stereo, cb, etc. if you arent using that much just use a regular alt. mine is putting out 14.75 volts . dont forget about the jumpers on the old plug that goes in the old regulator. red to blue and white to brown. hope this info helps.
