Where Can I Buy An HEI Harness Connector? - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I'm looking for the connector that is on the ends of the wires that run from the HEI body to the distributor cap. The two retainer clips are missing on mine. Does anybody know where I can find one? It's the connector shown on the right side of this picture.

If you are not going for OEM correct, female spade crimp connectors works fine.

I may have to make a trip to a wrecking yard. The nearest wrecking yard is about 45 minutes away though.

Checker or autozone sells it just like the one in the picts and it is like $5-10

AC Delco calls it a condensor assembly IIRC. some of the better parts stores sell them. you want me to find a part number?

I am not suprised, but they do sell them. If the guy would look up parts for an HEI he would have found a list of parts. If nothing else have them pull an HEI and point tp the part (ask for a manager also!)

I have the same prob with a local Napa. They never did find the wires for me. This is supposed to be an item carried by Napa. If anyone knows the Napa number, please post.

I think this might be the Autozone part number, but it's listed as a special order item only, and there's no picture on the website.

Summit has the factory replacement part....

search p/n PRO-66946C $16.88 has both connectors on it.

Well I gave in and drove to the nearest wrecking yard. I removed the HEI harness connector from five vehicles. I'll be putting one on my truck and I'll keep one as an extra. If anyone else needs one of these I'll send one to you for free. Just let me know.

I'm not a real big fan of LMC, but they do sell the HEI harness for $7.95 (part number 36-1081).
