Engine dies after burn-out
Every time I go to do a burn-out my truck shuts off. It will start right back up but really is embarassing after such a show. Timing is close, carb seems to be adjusted properly with smooth idle....so I am out of ideas.....

I'm just wondering if it's getting flooded at the end when you let off the gas. Say you rev it up to burn out and the pump is still sending the fuel but when you let off the pedal the carb has excess fuel and dies out.

yeah after the tires are slowing down u could rev it a final time works for me.

i know it maybe a hassle, but my Nova was doing the same thing. after i would do my burn-out i would have to switch it into neutral right about the time the tires caught traction and tap the throttle a couple times and it solved the problem. It maybe worth a shot on yours

If too much fuel is the culprit how can I resolve that? Besides not doing the burn-outs as suggested.....

when i had my 69 it would die when i did a brake stand. but a real burn out was just fine. i could do a brake stand but id have to let of the brake bfore gas. i think when you do a brake stand and just sit in like the same spot ya know and you let of the gas the tire grab faster then the tourqu converter can do it thing so it casues the engine to stop. m akes sence any ways.
