3:73 gears
I pulled this gear out of a 70 1/2 ton.It has some pitting on the ring gear.It seems to only have gotten to 5 or 6 of the fins.The rest looks to be really good.Is it worth anything or is it junk.If it is worth anything how much?

The posi is worth mony, and the ring gear may be salvagable, depending on how bad (but a new gear set is like $150) I'd post it for $300 and see what happens. All else fails, put it on ebay with a MODEST reserve and see what the buyers tell you its worth. If it was mine, I'd unbolt the ring gear, sand blast the rust, emery cloth it and go. With a few miles on it the pinion gear will mess it smooth as glass!!
