Under dash harness with blade fuses?

I am about to change my underdash harness and was wanting one with blade style fuses instead of the glass ones. Anyone?

Re: Under dash harness with blade fuses?

My buddy just bought a complete kit from Painless and it has the blade type fuse box. I think he said it cost $300 and some change.

Re: Under dash harness with blade fuses?

What I'd like to find is a conversion part so you could plug the newer fuses in the old fuse box. Some kind of individual thing that you could plug into the glass fuse sockets and then plug in whatever sized blade fuse required for that circuit, if you know what I mean. Does anybody make them? If I invented and started selling them and they really caught on and then beautiful old cars all over the world started to catch fire because of some unforseen problem, do you think people would sue me?

Re: Under dash harness with blade fuses?

i used a hot rod painless harness with 7 or so circuits on a 42 dodge ambulance. it was a very good harness with all wires marked and easy to understand. thought it was a great product.not sure about using one for our trucks where the back of the gauge panel on the dash is concerned.rest should be cake(even the gauges im sure with some figuring would be fine too)

Re: Under dash harness with blade fuses?

If your looking for a plug and play kinda deal, just order an underdash wiring harness with blade fuses in the original configuration.

Several different wiring companies sell them.

Re: Under dash harness with blade fuses?

Haven't started installing my painless kit yet but right out of the box it looks awsome, I went with 18 circut kit for power windows and whatever else later on.
