Whatever you'll pay, that's what they are worth. What would I pay $100-200 max. Working when it was pulled and still working usually are two different things. A new unit can be had for $6-800.

Re: whats it worth?

I prefer the factory units if you can dig one up in a yard or online. There are a lot of replacement parts available now, and it's a bolt up unit, (except for the holes you gotta cut for the vents). I did it in my Blazer.
Another good idea for those with a limited budget is to find a van in the yard with a rear A/C unit. They are small, and could be hung under the dash, or bench seat. They have their own blower and resistor pack inside, so all you would have to do is get a compressor off a Chevy that's right for your application, a condensor, and the hoses that came with the unit. Also there is a R-12a substitute on the market called Duracool. It kicks arse!! Gets colder than 12 or 134, and can be mixed with either one. That's right!!! It can be mixed right in. It is also cheaper than either one, is environmentally friendly, and anyone can buy it. Ok, I'm done rambling on.
