I'm gonna post some pics soon of my truck. It is 2 tone silver and blue (stock) I really like it but am considering going with silver and black. However the silver would look awesome on your stepper, in my opinion

WHAT!!?? I don't think it can get any better, looks great, but you should come down to my level a few inches..HaHa

Of all of the truck pictures of stepsides that I have, I can't find many 2-tone stepsides, here's the best I could come up with.

haha... tks man! ah, i just feel that the paint needs a lil something... thought about adding the silver two tone section... if it was a fleetside, i'd put the chrome trim down the sides and call it a day... thought about putting the vinyl factory sport stripes on it like the orange truck above... just searchin for ideas...

I like your truck, but if it were mine. I would lose the stacks, visor and drop it to the ground. I would leave the color.

But then it will look like every other customized stepside out there.

Rod, two tone paintjobs on stepsides are rare, mainly because there isn't a real easy way to make it look good. The step bed really throws things off.

How about doing a cab top only color change, and add the below the rear window trim?

Re: Two Tone paint jobs... pix needed

its funny this came up my wife and i have discussed this topic for a few years know my truck regular short box is a light blue and white middle two toned i really like the breaking up of the truck but thought about the silver insted of white for appearance reasons silver while hide a little dust where the white wont but i just cant commit to any color yet i have also thought a blue like yours and then a gun barrel grey center? if al all possible if you where to paint the outline like the orange one on your truck def use a grey or silver instead of white that would look killer on my opinion and maybe a custom ised racing strip of some sort on the hood would help break it up

I like it the way it is possibly add chrome trim to the wheel wells, pin stripes, and definatly add flame throwers to the stacks

Re: Two Tone paint jobs... pix needed

I think silver with a bold orange outline pinstripe would make it pop.

As far as two-tone, I think your origina, color is one of the nicest I have seen for a stepside. I like it alot. Maybe, just add the silver scheme to your the blue. I think it would look good.

Like Jeff said, your stacks make it unique, plus I like them, so hang onto them.

Re: Two Tone paint jobs... pix needed

Thanks for the input guys.

here's what i'm trying to avoid with pinstripes:

its basically the only option for striping the body line... i think i may do something along the lines of the factory vinyl... if i do something with paint.

As far as adding the behind the cab trim, what does that require? drilling? adhesive???

I wonder what that would look like with a red bottom instead of tan?

Re: Two Tone paint jobs... pix needed

i had a step side 4x4 model that i painted the bed white and the fenders black, or you could do it just the opposite... not exactly the typical 2 tone lie fleetsides have, but it set it off well. The pic isnt all that great but you get the idea..
