Thinking of selling my truck
What is my truck worth? I'm thinking of selling it now that I bought a 2wd blazer. Within the last year and a half it has been painted, new 330hp crate motor, 350 tranny rebuilt, drive line balanced, new brakes, new grill, new lenses all the way around except front bumper, new carpet, new carb, new smog legal headers, tires, wheels, and I'm sure I'm forgetting other new stuff. It has a 4/6 drop with spindles, coils, leafs, flip kit, and c-notch. So, what it worth?

Re: Thinking of selling my truck
I agree it's worth keeping. You've got it the way you want it why not keep it?
If you were to sell it I would say $8K would be a easy sell. With the new work and stuff added to it definately a solid truck.

Re: Thinking of selling my truck
I need to buy something that gets better gas mileage. I have a blazer and an impala for cruising. I've been commuting in this thing now that the weather sucks and I don't want to ride by bike in the rain on the freeway. You guys really think that I could get 8K for it? I didn’t think that anyone would pay that much for a truck built in ’81. I think its cool, but not everyone has good tastes like me. hahaha

Re: Thinking of selling my truck
Why not get a cheap Kia for commuting and keep the truck?

I like this truck, but i'm not in love with it. I love my other cars. I only have so much space to park.

I like that seat cover. Is that a replacement or a custom? Who did it?

Re: Thinking of selling my truck
If you insist run it across Ebay with a 8K reserve and see how close it comes to that mark to get a good idea of what others feel it's worth to them. I mean it couldn't hurt. That's a really nice blazer in the photos, but a man still needs a good truck to do MAN things around the house. That honda sure as heck won't fit in the back of the blazer, unless you use a trailor to tow it. You could install a overdrive tranny to improve gas milage. I just think right now you've fallen for the blazer next to it, but once the truck is gone you might regret it years to come. I wish I had to make the decisions you have facing you. Goodluck

Re: Thinking of selling my truck
It's a nice clean solid truck with a fresh paint job. It "should" bring more, but my guesstimate is around 6k. Rust free trucks are common your area. Trying selling it on Ebay to someone in the rust zone.

Re: Thinking of selling my truck
hotrodhomi
I'm in the same situation.. I have a '73 Cheyenne Super c10 Stepside, with a factory 454.. It's not matching numbers or anything, but a very nice truck..454 (15 mpg), 700r4 tranny, 3.23 posi, ac tilt, tach, ralley wheels, new oak bed, Truck is Black with charcol interior.. Truck looks very factory stock, but in the 30 years I hae owned it, I have changed a few things here and there, but unless your sharp on year models, you won't know it.. Has new paint, new interior, about 3,000 miles on motor and trans, Absolutly no rust.Needs nothing. I need room..I got a 2000 Silverado Sportside with a 6.0 in it now, I made into a SS like Chevy should, a '69 RS Camaro, '69 Fastback 'Stang, and a '70 390 AMX..( they all need a lot of TLC)..and house is falling apart!.. Chevy told me it is a extermly rare model option truck, and I have no clue what to ask for it. |
