Many thanks to Ron King for down-sizing these pics.
Hope it works.

I have been following your posts in the "Paint & Body" section of the board.......You did an outstanding job on that paint!! Very nice work...you have every right to be proud!

Don't ya just love the gloss, depth and reflection that base coat/celar coat gives.......!! I'm diggin' it!!

98 Dodge Intense Blue Pearl.
4 coats of base and 3+ coats of clear.
Didn't use reducer on the bed. Came out rough.
Sanded each side of the bed with 1000 grit 6 times.
Then shot more clear.
Sanded the whole thing with 1500 grit and then buffed.
First paint I have ever done in 9 years.
Like I said - It's been a long summer.
Will be happy to share what I have learned.
Learned a lot more than I really wanted to know.
You guys are great! Learned most of this stuff on this list.
Many thanks to all of you.
Paul

Is that Dodge Blue Pearl a mica paint instead of metallic? She's a beauty! Very nice work. Like the color.

That's stunning.

You need to paint the tailgate lettering so she'll wear brand her name proudly!:p

PS those ralleys really look nice too! Is that a stock stance? (It looks like a real pickup.)

great work. I'm VERY impressed. Maybe someday I'll be able to paint my own vehicles. Now, you've given me hope.

ENJOY THE OPEN ROAD!

Jeesh, guys! I'm blushing. But I can cope. Keep 'em coming.
Yep, stance is stock. New body mounts and pads under the bed probably made her butt stick up even higher. Thinking of lowering it a bit, but will wait until Spring. Not sure how much snow we'll have, and it is my daily driver.
Rims were take-offs from a new van a few years ago. I traded some stuff for them.
The more I look at it the more I realize how lucky I got - and a lot of it was luck. Wish you could see it in dim light. That paint is pretty cool.
I'll shut up now. 408 posts and 407 of them were questions. Many thanks for your help and patience.
