auxiliary battery

I finale found a relay for my factory aux battery but wasn't sure on where it mounted. The original one was just held in with one screw to the wheel well under the washer jug
If any one has some pics of a setup that would be great.

Re: auxiliary battery

I'm curious as well to how the factory wired both batteries. The last truck I owned with the aux battery was wired for aftermarket trailer brakes and aftermarket cruise.

The one I have currently looks to be modified as well. It had a deep cycle battery unconnected on the left side which came in handy when my main battery died. I gave myself a jumpstart, My washer bottle is on the passenger side.

Re: auxiliary battery

It mounts on the side of the battery tray mount itself. Personally I rewired mine in my GMC. I upgraded to a 105a alternator and used a relay out of a motorhome.

Talking Re: auxiliary battery

Here is a picture of the (2) relay mounting holes. The relay was mounted on the lower part of the radiator support under the battery tray on the Burb we have, (factory installed).

Also, here is a schematic of the wiring as is in the assembly manual for greenhorn male.

Re: auxiliary battery

My Longhorn has the dual battery, it's a 70, and currently the solonoid is located up on the fender next to the washer jar and the remote resevoir for the power steering. I was thinking it was stock there. I'd like to see a picture of an installed solonoid, maybe mines in the wrong spot, or maybe there is more than one location, depending on the truck...
