anyone used late modle wipers/squirters/motor assembly in their truck?
just curious - was just talking in chat about the possibility of using this setup on my truck - i hate the current setup with the pump inside the truck, doesn't work anyway, so i really am wanting to go to the JY and try to find the pump and resevoir for water, then use a later model 99+ truck wipers setup (with integrated squirters) and try to figure out the switch and linkage.
just curious - i asked a similar question before, but looking for specific info this time.

Still have the 72 wipers and squirters. The old pump took a dump years ago and I had the resevoir laying around after we scrapped the 86.I like the 86 resevoir because the pump is made onto it...

yeah, that's what i hear. i am going with the same setup, i think you can buy the resevoir and pump new for $50 or so. i'm going to look into that so I can at least get the current pump out from under the dash (unless it's integrated with the wiper motor?). makes more sense to have the resevoir and pump in the same place, not the pump and wiper motor..

I'm interested in this as well, mostly the late model wiper motor. My factory motor is toast and if/when I get her back on the raod I may at some point need wipers that work. That is if it ever rains again.

shifty, the motor and pump are integrated into one unit that's a bear to get to. might be best to clip the wires that activate the pump bypassing it to the new pump. i'd also be curious about the pump swap. mine isn't that old, but it sux.

shifty,
Do what I did and get the S10 pump and wire it up to your existing wiper switch. If you want more info I can get it to you. Putter was the one who helped me with it. It shoots across the garage!!
