Re: Sunday dinner time, what progress did ya'll make over the weekend?
Well I guess I wasn't the only busy. I dismantled my LB stepside bed. Those side pieces for the floor welded to the bed wall were a *&%$# to get off! Then I started on the truck, removed front end, cab and made a trip to the junk yard to get rid of it all. Then spent all day Sunday trying to clean 35 years of dirt and grease off of the K10 frame and tranny and transfer case. Powerwashed it and scraped three times so far and I am getting close but still have a ways to go!

Washed the truck Saturday morning and took it to the Saturday evening car show at the "Y" in Oak Hill. The first time the truck has been out there since being completed. Was amazed to see a handfull of these trucks there. Pointed a fellow 67-72 guy to a $75 tach dash cluster I had found for sale that needed a new bezel and heavy cleaning and of course, he bought it.

I set my engine and tranny assembly into the chassis and bolted down.
Hopefully, for the final time.

Got the tins painted for Momma's Harley on Saturday. Once I get the color-sanded and buffed, I can get the bike back together. Then I am allowed to spend all my time on the 68!!!

Re: Sunday dinner time, what progress did ya'll make over the weekend?
Well first we had to get the wife a new vehicle. We ended up getting a new 2007 Tahoe. This is a sweet rig. It is black with black leather. We stopped by the local Les Schwab tire center and added some 22" chome wheels. Looks sharp and the wife is happy. That means if she is happy, she does not bother me about finishing my project. I got my new good mark cowl hood on and lined up on the 71. I am suprised at how much work has gone into this hood to get it to fit. Every other hood I ever got from good mark has fit great and arrived woth no dent. The front of the hood had several little dents. The passenger rear did not line up at all. We had to do a lot of work to this. It is looking good now though.
