Re: 70 NAPCO K50/60 (not mine)

Brings up an interesting question.
On an episode of trucks, Stacy David was building a truck with hydraulic steering and stated that hydraulic steering is illegal for a street driven vehicle. Because of the potential of losing the hydraulics and thus losing complete steering. Power steering, if lost, still provides steering but at a greater difficulty.
Would this truck be legal to drive as it was a factory built vehicle or would it be Grandfathered since it was built prior to the law or not legal at all ?

If it`s built that way,it`s legal. That law is for under 10,000GVW.
Is this a no-reserve auction?I don`t see "reserve not met".I want it!!

Whoa that's awesome! There were two other short wheelbase ones on eBay awhile back, one was a 68-72 GMC and the other was a 64-66 Chevy.

Thanks, I will.

I have a good flatbed and motor for it from a C30 that my dad bought new for his business in 1971. It's too bad the frame and cab rotted out...

I'll stay with the big block, but it will be a 427.

Lot of truck for the money. I will be in that area with an empty hauler in October, too bad it wasn't up for auction closer to that time. GOOD LUCK!!
