my lighter has a bulb... it has like a metal sleeve that wraps around the bulb, then it has two prongs that slip in the slots on the lighter...

Hmmmm. Interesting. Not saying it wasn't stock, because I don't know for sure....but mine is different. Still figure it is the same bulb, though.
Just look at the parts store. Usually only a few to choose from that have that size connector in single contact style.

Re: Bulbs for cig lighter and heat control

I recently got a pair from Oreillys...1891 and I saved an old one that reads G-E 1829. I don't know what the ones I got in are off hand, they had a larger circular head on em....I guess it was a case of bigger is better

Re: Bulbs for cig lighter and heat control

Interesting thread! ANDY,
I have two, round bulbs that are dangling from the area under the heater/ac controlls. Is that where they go, the heater controlls and the lighter?
Respectfully

Re: Bulbs for cig lighter and heat control

Those both went to your A/C most likjely... the A/C contr\olls have 2 lights.
They are both hanging from gray wires with metal 'tangs' surounding the base, right?
