adjusting the door?

The front of my door is hitting the front fender. Do I just loosen the bolts on the hinges and adjust it that way?

No adjust your fender forward first.

Re: adjusting the door?

just looked at it again and the door is also hitting the forward top of the cab. I'll go snap a picture real quick.

Re: adjusting the door?

The hinges may not move rearward anymore but you could try it. Moving the door 1/8" to the rear would solve both of your issues.

We had upper and lower shims made up to be used between the hinges and the door since loosening the bolts to the cowl is rather tricky when the fenders are in place. The shims are installed by loosening the hinges one at a time and inserting them. The slots allow the shim to slid past the bolts.
I am not sure if anyone makes these now but several years ago they were not available so we made our own.

Attached is a picture of the shims we made up, (upper shim is at the top of the picture).

Re: adjusting the door?

You may need to pull in the lower hinge some to get the upper out. It's a playing game on these doors. Like Jim mentioned, you may need ome shims to get the final adjustments.
