Re: FS-GM Aluminum Valve covers from a 69 DZ 302

I would think that those covers would fit a early model Vette around 66-70, I have owned a few Camaro's and never seen any covers with the cross flag emblems on them. The cross flag emblem was more of a Vette sig. and the aluminum finned covers were very common on the early Vettes and are worth a good penny.

Bigarmzz...

It looks like I'm first in line. I will buy them if you take Paypal. But, I'm about to be offline until Saturday morning. I only have internet every third day when I'm at work. If you'll wait till then, I'll send you the money Saturday morning. If, you can't wait till then, I'll have to let someone else take them who can pay you sooner.

Re: FS-GM Aluminum Valve covers from a 69 DZ 302

Those style were standard on DZ 302's on some SS's when you ordered the chrome package for the engine you got those covers and a chrome plated air cleaner top. But they were on some corvettes Slight differences in them. If you really want to know check the Casting #'s I have a 69 RS/SS and those casting #'s thou I don't have a specific listing for them. They are close in some of the head #'s etc.

I wouldn't trade places with you right now for $1000. But at the end of the day all a man has got is his name. Been there done that.

Re: FS-GM Aluminum Valve covers from a 69 DZ 302

Right now I have a 59 year old wife (30 year anv. coming up) her 85 year old mother has been living with us since last Dec. Two years ago this July 2 my 33 year old niece (wife's sisters daughter) was homeless and I told her she could stay 2 weeks. Found out she was 5 months pregnant and no place to go. Baby came a month early had to do c-section she ended up in intensive care for 16 days and nearly died. Due to the botched c-section she is still not able to work and on constant pain meds and since she don't have money for a good doctor or lawyer we're stuck. Then we come to 18 month old baby. She is the only bright spot out of this whole mess. But I have to compromise to keep her happy. Now read last 4 words of 1st post. What I'm saying is I know about trying to keep the women in your life happy. But I'm going to keep my word if it hair lips the pope. You priced it, somebody took you up on it. What's the question

Congratulations on your decision. I need a little help from time to time and glad when somebody points me in the right direction. Your wife however will probably want to kick my butt. Good luck on getting money to buy that ring

I have two different shipping addresses, depending on who you ship through. I put both of them in a note on the Paypal.

Thank you,

Re: FS-GM Aluminum Valve covers from a 69 DZ 302

I had a '74 Camaro in hs that had an LT-1 (NOM) with those covers on it. I put them in my shed and some a$$hole took them, a tunnel ram and two carbs, and the chrome air cleaner top off my original dual snorkle air cleaner!

if it makes you feel better, you can still get those new for like 150 a piece, so I'm not sure they would have brought that much on ebay, i bought my new several years ago for 80 apiece.

True...unless somebody needs them really bad for a resto, they can buy the Mooneyes covers for $285, which are dang sweet (or $215 without holes)
