Quick X-member drop question.

What is the biggest X-member drop you can do with still using the stock steering. 1 1/4" 1 3/8" or 1 1/2".ect.... THANKS

Do you consider 'stock' as in un-touched/un-modified?

I did a 1.375" notch & had to trim the c-member for tie-rod clearance but it still wasn't enough & the upper a-arm interfered big-time w/the stock automatic column steering shaft so it would have required several u-joints.

I wound up spacing everything 1/4" so I had the equivalent of a 1.125" notch. The a-arm could possibly work w/some trimming (I won't know for sure until everything is re-asssembled).

As a general response, 1" ... though you can nudge that a little, what's the value of another 1/8"? That's the thickness of a washer.
