what cruise control unit will work??

Hi Everyone,
I'm Rebuildind A 1970 C-10 Fleetside And Was Wondering If There Are Any Suitable Substitutions For The Factory Original Cruise Control. The Original Units Are Quite Hard To Find And A Bit Pricey.
I'm Sure Somebody Out There Has Found A Good Substition Maybe Aftermaket? Maybe Gm Passenger Car?
If Anyone Has Any Ideas----i'm All Ears

Thanks ,mongo1957

I would check with Rostra Precision Controls. They used to make ( maybe still do!); cruise controls for our trucks, including the modified turn signal lever that matches the factory control of that type.

does anyone have any experience with the Dakota Digital Cruise Control addon unit?
I was looking at it, but would like to hear from someone if it's worth the cost.

I'm going to be using the cruise off of the 81 van that I got the tilt column off of. Runs on vacuum and an extra speedo cable.

I looked into the dakota cruise a little bit , seems a bit pricey, i might just go to the junkyard and make something work.
