Holley Carb to a Edelbrock Manifold

I have an Edelbrock Performer manifold, spread-bore i believe, need to run a 750 holley for the motor (I know the manifold is not the right one for the motor..just all I have to deal with right now), will the carb fit to the manifold without an adapter? I had a Carter AFB on it before, believe it was square bore and it ran just fine. had a square bore gasket on it..acted like a adapter I think? Any advice would help...thanks guys!

the square holley wont seal on the spreadbore intake withpout an adaptor. here is 1 that I have used http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?part=14448

I just got the the opposite adapter from autozone for $15 and they had they kind you need too. Good luck!

I have had no problem running the square bore carb on the spreadbore intake. Do some measurements and check it out. I don't have the Edelbrock, but the Weiand version with both sets of bolts. Get a carb gasket from the parts store and make sure it covers all the way around and you should be fine.

Thanks guys

Off today to go buy this beast of a carb...hehe The motor I built really needs it, I had the 625 CFM Carter on there from the previous motor and just to pass emissions, which it barely did! The motor is a 400 small block bored .60 over, 2.02/1.60 stainless Manley valves, Keith Black Pistons, 5.7 Rods, 292 Comp Cam, Manley hardened pushrods, High Vol. Oil Pump, Holley High flow Mechanical Fuel Pump, Moly Rings, Edelbrock Performer Timing set, Performer intake (which is completely wrong), then this 750 Holley, and HEI. I ran the numbers on the motor and it looks like a 750 is perfect for it. What do you guys think? BTW this motor is in a 72 Nova, weighs in at about 2800 pounds, with a 4.11 posi and turbo 350 tranny, hoping to hit low 12's with this monster hehe. Thanks again for the help.
