8cyl to 6cyl tach issues....
if i wanna go about changing a factory 8 cylinder tach to work with a six.. what for set up do i need... I believe it is an additional resistor wired in series, but since these things are kinda valuable i dont wanna dive in till sure... thanks for the help...

Yes, They are a calibration screw on the back of the tach but I have had time to set down and get mine dialed in yet.

I have a stock original 6 cyl tach dash cluster. Want to trade for your 8 cyl?? They look the same but do have different part numbers and I believe that adjusting the screw in the back will change the calibration but it would't be right at all rpms. e-mail me if interested- Huck---Huckfinn45@aol.com

i would think bout it but it not mine, it is a colleague's dash... and i have a tach dash out of a 74 c60 that i would like ot put in my driver thats a six as well, so figured i could knock two problems out with one question.. i will ask him though if he is interested in trading next time i see him, well se what we can do... --mike
